More Dix River...but video this time

In the previous post I forgot to include a few videos of the fishing trip. Granted, these are for my fishing buddies so if you're only interested in Harrison updates you can stop reading now. I haven't taken him fishing, yet.

A short clip of the dizzy'ing trip up the Dix dodging the blow-downs and widow-makers littered across and in the river. I'd probably knock out my camera man if I wasn't paying attention behind the wheel.

Leaves falling on the water as we fish our way downstream.

Motoring up the spillway. Only possible in high water. The dam holding back the reservoir is a hydroelectric station, so depending on how many generators they have running, the water level on the Dix can change significantly. In low water I wouldn't be doing this. We would pull the boat through by hand because it gets too shallow to run the motor without smashing into the boulders on the bottom. Of course in high water the rapids are bigger and I tend to get drenched in the process. PFDs a must especially in my dainty little boat.

You can thank Dre for the play-by-play.
