ZOO

Mom has been after me for weeks...months...perhaps years, to post pictures from our outing to the Indy zoo last spring. As follows: white rhino. the dolphin show (mammals, not fish, as Nana would explain). lemurs. pacing brown bear. monkey sucking monkey thumb.

The zoo is awesome. Harrison loved all of it. Recommended, say it again, recommended. Bring your lunch though because they take all of your money at the food tent.

4th of July parade

PROCLAIM YOUR ALLEGIANCE TO THE REPUBLIC! We rang the freedom bell this morning by attending the 4th of July parade. And although I remember seeing way more farm equipment, horses and Bloomington-style wackiness in years past...all of which I thought Harrison would have enjoyed...it was still a lot of fun. It seemed to be dominated by floats for politicians and elected officials.

Harrison's favorites were the fire trucks, emergency vehicles, miniature ponies, and dogs painted like American flags. He was given some beads, which was great until I realized they smelled like dead fish. Which was was disturbing.

Baseball, buggy and watering the rocks

More baseball, this time with Pops teaching some fundamentals. Harrison now knows the proper grip to use on a baseball bat.




This is the buggy/bike trailer we purchased for toting Harrison around the neighborhood. We also were planning ahead to get him around Pentwater when we head up there in a month for vacation. We can bike to the beach and all over town with it. Harrison likes riding in it, but his helmet constantly falls down over his eyes. To the concerned moms and grandmothers, he always wears a helmet...except this time when we were just showing off for Pops and doing driveway laps.

Harrison loves to help us water the plants. But he likes to water rocks even more.
And here he is doing some reverse engineering on the gutters.
