Harrison started greeting people with a wave this week. The staff at Kids' Club told us he was waving at everyone all day long. Now he'll do it when prompted, about 50% of the time.
"Harrison, say Hi to your loyal followers!"

He goes where he wants
With all the hardwood floors, he has the run of the house. He typically heads to the laundry room first to see if his soiled garments are getting laundered, and to make sure Sage has fresh water in her bucket, then he spins around and glances in the sunroom, then he heads to the kitchen and pulls the hand towel off the rack, then he takes that into the family room and bangs on the white plant stands under the table because they make a neat sound, then he drops the hand towel on the family room floor and stares at it for about 3 seconds, then he goes to the end of the couch and pulls a few magazines off the stack under the side table, then he goes to the living room and tugs on the various moving boxes and rams his walker into things, then we call to him from the kitchen and we videotoape him scooting back to mom and dad.

Sleeping habits
Sleep time is becoming very very interesting now that H is becoming more mobile. He is not crawling yet but he does manage to spin and roll. As a result, he spends a few minutes every night trying to get comfortable in his crib and ends up sleeping in the weirdest positions. The other night we found him like this...

It is just amazing to watch him grow, learn, move, speak and sleep! Things are really starting to happen!

Finally on the lake
On Tuesday morning I got out on the boat for the first time this season/year. The fog on the water burned off quickly once the sun came up but I managed a few pictures.
I also caught this young buck actually swimming across the lake. From about a quarter mile away I saw what I thought was a floating stump, but it was swimming. I motored over to it and realized it was a deer. He actually swam across a part of the lake that is at least a half mile wide.

Sleepy butt
cough + laugh
New sounds are neat. Harrison recently created a cough/laugh and has been using it often.
hello, summer!
I'M HOWWWISSAAAAAHHNNN!
Yesterday was a super big day for me!! Matt & Danza (they hate it when I call them that!!) took me to the farmer's market and to the Target. They bought me leafy greens from a farmer! I acted excited, but really that was LAME-O times TEN!
After meeting the farmers, we went to the Target and Matt & Danza (heeeeeeeehaaaaaa they HATE IT!) bought me
ONE) a swimming pool, and
TWO) a swing!!
The pool was $9.99 (I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!!!). Check out the pics! Matt inflated my pool with an air compressor...and I learned that air compressors are loud and whoooshy! It was crazy fun! About the swing...it's like getting dropped from a 2nd story window without the oopsies! MORE PLEASE!!

This is from before my pool and swing. I may look happy, BUT I AM NOT. I knew Matt (he still hates it, I'm still using it!) had something up his sleeve, and it was a POOL AND SWING for MMMMEEEEEEEEE!!!!

HEY!!!!! I GOT A TOOF THIS WEEK!!!!!!
Stay cool, my followers! HIGH FIVES!!!!!

Critters spotted!
This guy was in our side yard in the middle of the afternoon, and acting weird. We spotted each other and he was all, "HUMAAAAN!!!" and I was all, "RABEEEEZ!!!" so I scurried the family inside. He kept an eye on me from the wild side of the window.
Not sure how a red snapper got in the creek out front, but keep it up! We stuffed him with lemon and secret spices. Even Sage and Skye got some.
Settled for mushrooms
This is Dre aiming at an imaginary turkey.

This is Aaron trying to call in a bird for 9 year old Grayson, the winner of our NWTF guided youth hunt raffle. Grayson got off two shots at a bird but it was the timber chicken's lucky day. He missed at about 15 and then 25 yards. Grayson was a great sport and was just happy to see wild turkeys at such a close range.

No turkey for Aaron or me, but we did find these.

Harrison at Bass Pro
Today Harrison and I went to Bass Pro Shop in Clarksville after setting up Diane & Randy's new iMac in Corydon. Harrison was impressed with the fish in the aquarium. I found this little nook and left him to be entertained by the fish while I did my shopping. I claimed him at the customer service counter a little later.
That isn't funny.

Swing! Slide!
doughnuts
I haven't posted to the blog in about a month! Apologies to my loyal followers. But we've been busy.
Harrison has decided that he is going to make use of the limited space in his crib. So now, if he isn't super tired when we put him down for a nap, he flips himself over and gets up on his hands and does doughnuts around the crib. Lately we've been finding him sleeping on his stomach or side, sometimes with his feet up on the sides of the crib. We get a kick out of watching him on the monitor.
