Harrison ran a temp for 2 days this week, and yesterday I was tasked with staying home with him. Fevers are a no-no at daycare, Danza was needed at the hospital, and I luckily had nothing on my work calendar so I got the nod from the captain to watch after the little skipper. In between crying fits we managed to have some fun despite his general malaise. Of course I took pictures. Shall we get started??...

Initially after Danza's departure, Harrison was happy. For a few moments.

Then he began his decline.

Then he wailed.

The walker sprinkled with banana flavored wheat poofs proved to be just what the tired and grumpy skipper needed.

Rejuvenated and curious, he explored the house. At high speed. We rearranged the furniture a bit in anticipation of the 2009 Father's Day Extravaganza weekend and Harrison found great joy in the newly organized pad.

More butt time in the kitchen. He just loves that phone! The chief of police and the lieutenant governor have been known to call Harrison and pass along super-top-secret-mission-critical information. The governor called today, and Harrison ordered him to send the national guard to Kids' Club to scare his friends. He speaks in code, but I think I deciphered the command correctly.

SICK CHILDREN...TO THE CAGE!

He is always interested in what Sage is chewing on. I don't know if he expects her to share her bone, or if he just wants to be sure she isn't stealing his poofs.

His countless tears during the day caused his moisture content to fall, so once mom got home we rehydrated. Harrison loves his ice cold bottled water.

The good news is that he seems to be over his short-lived illness, and we think it may have just been part of the teething process.
He/we can't wait to see everyone this weekend. He sent Danza out to get water balloons.
