Big boys

Harrison and I are big boys now. So we go out and do big boy activities together and have big boy conversations. He thinks being a big boy is the coolest thing. 'Henry no go, Henry lil' baby.'
So here we are on the pedestrian bridge over the bypass in Bloomington. Harrison got some honks and waves.
Last weekend I took him out to the lake to throw some rocks. He likes to throw anything, but especially rocks, sticks and baseballs. We also watched some geese and took in all the boat traffic at the boat ramp. He is excited about boating this summer.

Then we had a talk tonight about how Henry is getting bigger and he is going to be wearing Harrison's old shoes in no time at all. Harrison agreed to share his toys with Henry when the time comes and especially his fast red trike once he grows out of it and gets a new big big big trike. One neat thing about our house and the hardwood floors on the main level is that Harrison zooms all over the place on his trike. He loves it. He does laps from kitchen to family room to living room to dining room and back to kitchen, he turns objects of clutter into obstacles in his race course, and he even makes the back-up beep noise when he has to back his way out of a tight situation...just like a dump truck. We beep beep beep for safety at the Lloyd house.

Harrison & Esme

This was last summer in Michigan. Mom was mentioning it so I looked through our videos from the vacation and found Harrison's first couple's dance. Esme was an adorable and precocious little girl that pulled Harrison out to the dance floor during the brass band performance in Pentwater. I think Harrison was basically in shock during the entire routine, as the video shows.

Parade Day in Nashville

Horses, fire trucks, diggers, oh my. Nana and Pop had the parade route scouted so we had a whole corner to ourselves (and the dreary weather probably helped keep the crowds down). Harrison was bombarded with gum, lollipops and other treats because there was nobody else around us to throw it at. Great fun, and a few nice photos of a little boy having a great time at a parade.

I forget what justified the city putting on a parade, but it wasn't "Lincoln Day" as the above title previously stated. We'll just call it parade day.
