Baseball, buggy and watering the rocks

More baseball, this time with Pops teaching some fundamentals. Harrison now knows the proper grip to use on a baseball bat.




This is the buggy/bike trailer we purchased for toting Harrison around the neighborhood. We also were planning ahead to get him around Pentwater when we head up there in a month for vacation. We can bike to the beach and all over town with it. Harrison likes riding in it, but his helmet constantly falls down over his eyes. To the concerned moms and grandmothers, he always wears a helmet...except this time when we were just showing off for Pops and doing driveway laps.

Harrison loves to help us water the plants. But he likes to water rocks even more.
And here he is doing some reverse engineering on the gutters.

This first shot is from Harrison's trip to the Farmer's Market with Danza, Melissa and Bubbe. he got to hold the flowers. Until he dropped them.

The other pictures are from our picnic last week in Bryan Park with Justin, Emily and Max. The boys sure do love the park. And bubbles.

Harrison likes wiffle ball. I've taught him how to hold the bat with two hands and swing for the fences. He makes contact about 10% of the time. But even more than that he likes to see mom and dad hit the long ball to the far reaches of the yard. He prefers high fly balls to line drives and grounders.

WELCOME BACK

I have enjoyed/endured a long hiatus from Critters. I have no solid grounds for my recent resistance to blogging however my theory is...
After we had to put Sage to sleep I began gathering some pictures of her to do a in memoriam post and that kinda shut me down. I just avoided the blog I think because it was hard for me to do that post. Anyway, wipe away the tears everyone because now, almost three months since my last post, I'm back in the saddle.

I went into Harrison's room this morning to start the morning routine and he greeted me with this fashion attempt. Apparently he wanted his shirt off and got hung up along the way.


In other news, it's date night tonight and Danza and I are having dinner here. It has changed ownership lately (and a dozen times in the past 20 years) but we hear the food is pretty good and eating out on the deck in this weather overlooking the lake should be nice.
