Chicago trip

Just realized we never posted any photos from our little getaway to Chicago a few weeks ago. Below you will first see the level of energy that Danza has as she approaches the Windy City. Next you will see the joy of room service, and the layout of our modern/urban hip hotel room at the James. Then some shots of at the Museum of Science and Industry, and finally our visit to Andersonville to visit, Justin, Emily and Max. Max hooked into Danza's nose. He has a good grip.

Many thanks to the grandmoms who watched after the H-bomb and pets while we were away.

At the park

Harrison loves the slide. He climbs the stairs and goes down head first all on his own.

I need to find a park where gossiping is against the rules.

Some friendly poodles were watching over the kids.

Spring is here

Harrison's favorite activity is anything outside. He even likes to just roam around in the yard and point to all of his favorite trees, and leaves, and things in the sky that only he can see, and dogs walking by.

Dix River, KY - March 5th, 6th, 7th, 2010

The fishing was very slow but we had beautiful weather and it was great to get the boat out for the first time this year and chase after trout. My friend Ryan Daugherty went with me and we stayed at the Bergeron River House where we met up with Andre and Pierre. Here are a few shots from the trip.

Skye Harrison-Lloyd, 1999 to March 15, 2010

We had Skye put to sleep today. We felt that his diabetes and mysterious skin condition had troubled him (and us) for long enough. Since last August when he was diagnosed with diabetes he had dropped in weight from about 16 pounds to 10 pounds and he just wasn't looking good, or feeling good.

We didn't get to witness the actual put-to-sleep procedure because we took him to the animal shelter to have it done (they do it for free there...bonus), but Danza still shed some tears and I came very close to tears. He was a small but significant part of our happy family for many years.

He is in a happy less itchy place now and we won't have kitty litter all over the house any more.

Rest in peace Skye, we love you.

Trail camera pictures

I left my trail camera unmolested out in the woods at our Yellowwood property for the past two months. I retrieved it a few days ago and it had 400 pictures of wildlife on it. Enjoy:
